Notes of the Annual Parish
Meeting held on the Wednesday 24th May 2017, in the Village Hall.
Present: - Parish Councillors –
T.Heptinstall (Chair) G Heptinstall, L Richards, W.Roper
and the Parish Clerk.

for absence were received from Councillor: - Cllr Llewellyn
has only been in office for half of the year and gave a brief report and advised the
meeting on the following topics, that have been on the agenda over the
of Restoration of the Recreation Ground project to including a new MUGA
and toddler play area.
- Hs2 consultation
of the Carnival Organising Committee John Luty - gave an overview of
arrangements for the 2017 Carnival, with new recruits to the committee
lots of new ideas have been presented. Entrance fee has been raised to £1.50;
other matters discussed were the grass cutting, risk assessment and the
removal of the skip in the village hall car park to allow access to remove
the tables and chairs from the community store.Cllr T Heptinstall offered
to pay for the coconuts for the coconut shy. The carnival will be held on
Saturday 10th June 2017.
Councillor William Roper gave a report on the Village Hall Management Committees
activities for the 2016/17 period:-
regular bookings with diverse groups from the community.

costs for the Village Hall are £2,000
Roper praised the volunteers that help to run the village hall, in
particular Paul Harper who has put in over 30 years on the village hall
plans are to replace the carpet and gents toilets.
